Who we are

YWAM Derby is an international, interdenominational community of Christians called to urban mission and living in Derby area. We celebrate the rich cultural diversity here and in other urban settings. We enjoy the personal relationship with God and fellowship with one another. We seek to flourish in our fellowship and discipleship through regular worship, Bible study, prayer, communication, and fun. In all we do, we aim to extend the reign of God and fulfill the great commission.

We seek to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to all people within Derby, the Midlands, and other strategic locations in the UK and globally. We are committed to conceiving, birthing, and nurturing new ministries, and developing existing ones. We actively partner with local churches and particularly their young people. We seek to partner with and complement the work of community projects. The hope for our ministry is an increasing Christ-likeness and reign of God in people, communities, and nations.

Our History

YWAM first came to the Midlands in 1981 when God called a small team to reach the large urban centers of the region. Two bases were bought, the King’s Lodge at Nuneaton, and the Manor House outside of Derby.

YWAM England

YWAM England started in 1971 with a team of 4 people, and now includes over 20 operation locations involved in local, nationwide and global outreach, with more than 300 YWAMers committed to knowing God and making Him known.
