Who we are
YWAM Derby is an international, interdenominational, community of Christians called to urban mission and living in the Derby area. We celebrate the rich cultural diversity here and in other urban settings.
Mission and vision:
We see the cities around the world as a global mission field, and we welcome people from all backgrounds and cultures as our neighbours and friends. Our mission is to impact the lives of those we meet, bringing and being the Good News and the love of God while empowering God’s people to take their part in fulfilling His calling on their lives.
Our History
YWAM first came to the Midlands in 1981 when God called a small team to reach the large urban centers of the region. Two bases were bought, the King’s Lodge at Nuneaton, and the Manor House outside of Derby.
YWAM England
YWAM England started in 1971 with a team of 4 people, and now includes over 20 operation locations involved in local, nationwide and global outreach, with more than 300 YWAMers committed to knowing God and making Him known.
