Covid-19 (coronavirus) Update, March 17, 2020
YWAM Derby are continuing to monitor and follow the outbreak and implications of Covid-19 (coronavirus). We have been reviewing and closely monitoring the situation daily and are taking appropriate steps to ensure the health of our team, volunteers, and neighbours.
In the midst of all this, we are, of course, actively seeking God for his wisdom and clarity.
We continue to follow and implement the recommendations and guidance from the UK Government (and thereby the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Officer) and monitoring advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Because of this, we will be cancelling our Community Worship Evenings, usually held of the 4th Saturday of each month, until we are able to gather together once more.
As we are an outreach centre, we are very aware that this will drastically affect our ability to continue our support of various ministries around the city. However, we will be seeking God for how we can creatively be God’s hands and feet in our community.
If you are in in the Derby area, and need to self-isolate due to illness or being in one of the vulnerable groups, please do contact us on either through social media or email (info@ywamderby.org) if you are in need of a hot meal being delivered, a telephone call for company, shopping, dog walking or collecting medications, and we will do our best to help.
For any YWAM Derby team, volunteers, their parents, family and supporters that have any concerns or questions, we ask that you please contact us at YWAM Derby.
