What is it?

Haven is a social hang out for youth who are refugees, asylum seekers, and their friends between the ages of 13 and 18! It is a place to come and build lasting friendships. 

Haven runs during the school term and has special events on the term breaks there will include practical lessons such as budgeting, cooking, note taking, etc. and personnel well-being classes!

Times on Thursdays:

For those who are 11 to 14 years old, it will run from 16:00 to 18:00.

For those who are 15 to 18 years old, it will run from 18:30 to 21:00.

What is the purpose of Haven?

The purpose of Haven is to create a safe place for the refugee and asylum seekers who are unaccompanied, and those that need a safe and welcoming community.

What are the goals of Haven?

  1. To see the young people welcomed and integrated into a community and friendship groups.
  2. To see the young people cared for on social, emotional, practical, and mental levels so that they can have full lives.
